Rippingale Parish Council
The Parish Council aims to manage and maintain the assets of the village, on behalf of the village. It is funded through the annual precept, grants and other small incomes.
In line with statutory regulations, the Council considers the needs of the wider village community when making any decisions, and also value for money.
All this is achieved through seven Parish Councillors and the Parish Clerk. The work falls into three main categories:
- Representing the local community
- Delivering services to meet local needs
- Striving to improve quality of life in the Parish
Specifically, Rippingale Parish Council provides and/or maintains the following:
- Allotments
- Grass Cutting of some verges and common areas, such as the Village Green
- Hospital Car Service Scheme
- Jubilee Playing Field, the Play Equipment and Sports Court
- Village Newsletter ("Rippingale News"
The Parish Council also works in partnership with the County and District Councils, local Police, Neighbourhood Plan and Neighbourhood Watch:
- Lincolnshire County Council (LCC)
- South Kesteven District Council (SKDC)
- Bourne & Billingborough Neighbourhood Policing Team (BNPT)
The responsibilities of these authorities’ include:
- Waste/litter collection (SKDC)
- Planning Development (LCC & SKDC)
- Street cleaning (LCC & SKDC)
- Tourism activities (LCC & SKDC)
- Traffic calming measures (LCC)
- Highways – Roads, Pavements, Potholes, etc (LCC)
- Anti-social Behaviour & Crime Reduction (SKDC & BNPT)
